If you have not tasted Penang Assam Laksa, you haven’t tasted Laksa at all! People visit Penang for their delicious food, and the Assam Laksa is one you must try. From its aromatic broth to the chewy laksa noodles, it is a favourite of tourists and locals alike.

Assam Laksa originated from Penang and can be found in Georgetown and many more places in the state.

Nowadays, people usually go for quick breakfasts like oatmeal and a cup of machine-brewed coffee. Back in the 2000s - when the world was much slower, kopitiams (coffee shops) would be bustling with locals in the morning, enjoying bowls of noodles like Assam Laksa with a cup of handmade coffee. To bring out the nostalgic memories, I decided to go with a retro style in this work.
